Should i get a black macbook or a white macbook?

I think Nat was right about how computers have a soul. Ever since I started getting all excited about the idea of a new macbook, my trusty Powerbook which has served me well for exactly 3 years now is showing signs of fatique and unhappiness.

And like any other discontented human being, without sparing a thought for Mr Powerbook's feelings, I kept complaining to my friends how much i wanted a new macbook but my Powerbook was still holding up fit as a fiddle. But now that it seems to be slowing down, taking much longer to open applications, I'm feeling kinda remourseful.

Mr Powerbook has been a great help in the last three years of my undergraduate life and I'm so proud of it. It has never failed me. Mr Powerbook has never spent a day in the Mac 'Hospital', but it has given me a few false alarms, making me look like a complete fool at the 'Hospital' when i whine and mourn about how Mr Powerbook is not responding only to see him flicker to life and whirr with excitement the moment the 'nurse' presses his power button.

Grrr.

Would i be greedy to want both? Powerbook and Macbook? Funds are running low, but the gian-ness to buy a macbook is getting higher. The specs of a macbook are simply irresistable!

Sigh.

Erm. If i do decide on getting Mr Powerbook a new brother....

Should i get the black or white one?

p.s. Slow passerby, you're tagging Slow Blogger here. =) Till now I still haven't given you all updates on my FANTABULOUS Kinky Kyushu trip with the Fabulous Six. Apologies and a thousand more. Heh. But Slow passerby! Japan is really fun! And I say GO FOR IT! Do it the free and easy way most of the way if you can and maybe just book a short tour that gets you to places that may be harder for you to go by yourself. I'll work on that update soon.. lala.

p.p.s. No idea what's going on on the tagboard... too 乱. But peace to the world ok? Jing is not a bootlicker and i dun recall seeing any vulgarities anywhere, Thank you thank you all for all the love and concern you have showered on me! Pls dun fight over these things though... Chill and let's just have loads of fun ok?

MOMOvirgintarian

My virgintarian bestie in virginia had an operation to remove her appendics! All alone in a foreign country, that Momo still stubbornly and as usual completely possessed by the 'pai-say' syndrome she often talks about refused to get help from her own room mate and stumbled out to the security post to get a security guard to send her to the hospital!!!!!

ARGHHH!!!!!

I was reading her blog, and i TOTALLY flipped. I think my heart skipped a beat when i read her latest post, and i vaguely read about an "operation" but then i just assumed it was like a mission she set herself to work on. And then i read the post that started with...

" Dear Friends,

I have went on to do what I should never ever do here."

YES!!! YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NOT TELL THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU THAT YOU ARE DYING FROM PAIN IN YOUR ABDOMEN!!! AND CRAWL OUT ALONE LOOKING FOR HELP WHEN HELP IS JUST AROUND YOU!!!!!

ARGHHH!!!!!!

did you tell your mama about your operation? I BET YOU DIDN'T ! ARGHH!!!!

Poor momo... you are missed. So many times i wanted to just pick up the phone to give you a ring to bitch and whine and complain and ask you out for a movie only to remember you are still in faraway Virginia.

Please take care of yourself ok? Don't so pai-say can? Got problem must say. Got pain must say. Don't act HERO hor?

I MISS YA!!!!

BuSymeBee

I've been busy like a bee! With work, with Brother's wedding... and the charity performance coming up tomorrow..!

My brother is getting married tomorrow, so its been rather nerve-wrecking for the family because of the number of invites that have to sent out and the things that have to be done. But its so exciting! We had rehersals yesterday and there were many hiccups here and there but I'm sure its going to be Purrrr-FECT on SAT! Sat's the church wedding and Monday's the dinner which is kinda weird but pretty good because then we still have Sunday to plan for Monday's wedding dinner. =)

After my brother's wedding i have to rush down for the Charity Concert at Guang Ming Shan. I think most of you know that I'm actually Christian, so why am i performing at the temple? Well, its for charity, and its a non-religious gathering although it is held at a temple. Above all, its about getting more money to Sze Chuan in order to rebuild their city. And every cent will help.

When i was in Japan, I visited Nagasaki. And Nagasaki was where the US dropped an atomic bomb on in 1945 during World War 2. Nagasaki was completely destroyed. Its people were turned into ashes and even after a long time, radiation remained in the city causing health issues and killing people.

But after 63 years, the city has been COMPLETELY rebuilt. Even better than before, its a beautiful place with houses built on hills and mountains, with Hots springs scattered around, with really good and cheap food. I had my best meal there. =) And don't think Nagasaki rebuild by itself. It also required the goodwill and generous donations from many countries who were shocked by the Evil that the atomic bomb could cause. Maybe Nagasaki could have eventually rebuild itself without any help, but there's no doubt that because of goodwill of so many people from around the world, Nagasaki was reborn in less than a century.

One day, I'll take a trip to Sze Chuan, maybe when I'm like 60 years old with loose teeth, and it'll be a really really nice place, and I'll remember that I played basketball, Sang at Guang Ming Shan and donated money to help rebuild this place.

Oh, I really rambled on didn't I. Haha... Alrite, I've gotta go get my hair trimmed, and then its rehersals for the entire day! Oh! And manicure with mummy hahaha....

Nagasaki,
the view we saw outside the train station.

Nagasaki's hill top houses.
We stayed in a Ryokan that was at the top of a hill, we had to
take a bus ride up and the roads up were so small i was so afraid the
bus was going to fall off!

Where the bomb fell.

Peace! Peace! No more War!

And since i was not in the previous Peace Picture,
Here's me with my equivalent.

Ball of a time!

Leaving in 5 hours to Batu Pahat(where Ivy from Beauty World came from!) for a charity basketball match! Was very excited when I was first asked if i was interested... I replied "Onz ah!"
Its basketball! I know I'm not very tall and was rejected rather mercilessly by the secondary school coach when i expressed interest in the game, I'm still all enthusiastic about Basketball!

i remember playing it during recess, after school, during weekends, whenever there was a ball and people to throw it around with. And boy was it fun! But since then I don't think i've touched a basketball ever since until Zijie and Lebby got me one for my 21st birthday!

Well, tomorrow is going to be the first time after many years and i do hope i don't just warm the bench and get to run around the court and hopefully get hold of the ball a few times. I think its a mixed match(mixture of both guy and girls), and its all for charity so it should be fun!

Singapore artistes VS Malaysian artistes .... who do you think will win?

Haha, let you all know when i get back la. Bye!

Yummy Apples

Should i get a MacBook? It looks really delicious. Urgh.

Pros:
It runs on Intel processor and is double the RAM i have now in my powerbook. Which means i can run Final Cut and many other applications on my computer without it being laggy or taking 4 minutes to render a transition! So onz!

Cons:
It will cost me 3000 dollars. And that is just too much for me especially after coming back from a holiday. I need to work hard and earn money now....

But i really want to get my hands on one, stuff it between two fluffy white buns and take a huge bite into it.

Anyway, sorry for the lack of(none in fact) updates on my Japan trip. The six of us clocked close to 9000 photos, and its been hell trying to compile them all and get them in all our computers. I now have about 24GB worth of Japan Grad trip memories... but they're all over the place because i can't seem to categorise it according to date! Will have to depend on Jennifer Hum for this...

But for now, I shall give your eyes all a little treat and allow you to feast on the 6 gorgeous ladies in the picture below. Hee hee hee.

Nipponomore!

I'm back more heavy weight and with skin one tone darker although i have absolutely no idea how i got darker since it was cold and i was mostly in long sleeves and when i was in shorts, the sky was overcast due to the typhoon that has been terrorising Myanmar and other countries in the region.

I can't give you all updates on the japan trip yet because most of the photos are in Linhui's computer who is currently at Narita airport waiting to board the plane back to singapore! i had to come back earlier because of the channel U outdoor performance yesterday... so thank you all who turned up! It was nice seeing you guys... sorry i couldn't really hang around. And don't worry charlene, I'll try to remember its charlene not charmaine. Otherwise next time round, you'll just be char. =P

Anyway, its 19 days in the land of the rising sun, so you can expect 19 entries on Japan because I didn't religiously write down the days happenings in a travel diary like the other 5 musketeers so i will do all i can to pen it down on this blog.

It was a great trip, but while i was there on a great holiday, so many things were happening all over the world. Repercussions of the Mayanmar typhoon, and then the horrific earthquake in Sichuan. When it happened, my brother was in Shanghai and my mum was worried sick. And then i received alot of messages regarding charity concerts and song recordings that were meant to help the raise money for the victims of this clamity. So it was really weird... In three weeks, it seems so much has happened, not just around me but throughout the world.

And then my mum fell sick while i was on the trip and i spent the last week on holiday worrying and calling back to check up on her.

So i have to say, this will definitely be one grad trip to remember. Let's just pray and hope that when my results come back, everyone who loves me will accept the results for what it is. I'm not very confident about it but alot of loved ones out there seem to have really high expectations. Really, I'm no Joanne Peh. But well, let's see how it goes and just commit it all into his hands!

Gonna pick the other 4 musketeers up from the airport later.. and then probably have a 'kinky kyushu grad trip' meet up session so we can put together a sketch book or photo book of some sort! Wait patiently for the updates!
