我是早起的鸟儿...why don't I see any worms.

Sent my daddy to the airport and didn't want to get caught up in the morning traffic jam on my way home. So I'm up bright and early today with my trusty laptop and a cup of Starbucks lemonade( Yummy!).

I usually get the Tazo Iced Green Tea... I'm a tea kinda person. No coffee for me.

And almost always, Iced.

Today the lady at T2's starbucks recommended the new lemonade drink... to which I was very apprehensive to try. I don't like to take risks with comfort food or drinks.

The nice lady told Carrie (Ooops. I dragged her along. I am very 不甘寂寞. haha... So two early birds here. Tweet Tweet.) I could just try it first and then pay only if i liked it.

I LIKED IT. IT'S DELIGHTFUL.

know what's more delightful than delightful???

When Carrie tried to pay, the Lady said "its ok! *with a wave of her hands*"

I got a free DELIGHTFUL drink! THAT'S VERY DELIGHTFUL

Starbucks rocks.

On another note, take a listen to 谢安琪's 喜帖街。The chinese version plugging on our airwaves now is called "欢送会”。 The first time I heard it, "fake Yanzi" flashed across my mind. But the more I listen, the more the song grows on me.

The melody is captivating in a bittersweet sort of way, pulling me into the song. And Kay's voice has a warm tonal quality that adds alot of value to the melody without taking too much attention away and yet not fading into the distance.

Am i making sense.

Not much of a music critic. I only have a wealth of feelings and emotions which are birthed out of coming in touch with music which I don't have the ability to express in words.

Aiya. Just listen. Sometimes, we all need to shut up and just LISTEN.

There's a first for everything.

Indeed.

What an interesting first this is...

I never thought I'd make it to a day where I'd win a competition and have people walking up to me asking for pictures or autographs. But there was a first and now I'm simply counting my blessings for it and enjoying the entire process.

In JC, I landed a role in theatre which I NEVER thought I'd land. The role of a sweet teenage girl in her 16 going through the ups and downs of courtship. (I normally do dwarfs, aliens, and whatever other creature the script requires.)

When auditioning at the Toy Factory for a musical scheduled for later this year, I never imagined I would end up in the role of Poh Choo in the upcoming Little Nyonya musical at the Indoor Stadium.

I NEVER imagined I would have to show the world my HUGE forehead or would have to strut around like some pretty young sweet thing in Kebayas.

I don't think you can imagine either.

So here's something to help your imagination run wild....

GASP!

I can hear some of you screaming :

"AHHHHHHHhhh!!!~~ MY EYES!!!!!!!
Take it away! Take it Away!"

thanks man.............
(that's like the nicest picture already ok. )

Yes I know its a bit jarring. But its new and refreshing HOR????

This is going to be a super 牺牲色相 musical ok.

You should really come and watch us peel of our outer skins and bear our innermost unglam-ness on stage this coming May 16th.

I play Poh Choo, I have two sisters, one of them is Carrie and my loveliest Aunty Gwee Huay is Ann Kok whom I absolutely adore! She is so fun to be working with!

Everyone tells me its such a blessing I'm not Nyonya. What with the elfish height and Sunlight reflecting forehead. Carrie says I look more like 花木兰.

And just to soothe your eyes a little... here's Ian!
Who celebrated his FIRST birthday today!

Happy birthday little Ian!
be forever friends with Jayden like your mummy and Us!

Also, in case you need reminder on how I REALLY look like normally...

Nausea overtook

I was in Carrie's car when I heard 柯有纶's 《爱爱爱》on radio.

It started with a headache, and then a million "why wHy WHY??"s filled my head, and then my vision started to blur a bit(ok, that's being a bit too drama but the first two were true.), and then the nausea kicked in.

I couldn't bring myself to listen through the entire song.

Objectively, I think there's a nice groove going on in the song and the melody line is pretty good.

BUT THE SINGING TOTALLY KILLED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so why why why why why why why why is it that he can be a singer??? And even manages to get Jay Chou to direct his MV "Sugar Lady" ?!?

To start of, he can't seem to hold a note for too long. It sounds like the note drops off into some deep valley, and the thing about his voice, is that.. it sounds... like its stuck somewhere between his throat and his stomach.

He sounds like a grizzly bear.

And then they layer his voice in multiple tracks which in some the cases of some weaker singers, would help make their voice stronger and enhances the tone. But in Alan Kuo's case, it just further emphasizes on the flaws in his singing!!!!!!

Oh. It. Really. Killed. Me.

I liked the songs in his previous album better. I even sing them in KTV.

Like 《哭笑不得》...

Listening to 柯有纶's 《爱爱爱》makes me 哭笑不得...

I shall give his album a chance though, and borrow it from a friend or something. Listen to the rest of the tracks and see if there's anything similar to 哭笑不得 that i can take a liking to.

Right now. I really need a drink to calm my senses.

WTF?!?

(不)一样的夜晚

Tonight is the same as always...

And yet, different.

Its quieter tonight, it seems the nightly hubbub of circle line construction opposite the road has yet to begin.

My neighbour's dog went into a fit and barked non-stop for a good 10 minutes, peircing the night and causing Kaypoh me to turn off the lights in the room, climb up onto my cupboard and sit silently in the dark staring into the darkness of their garden.

And then hunger pangs struck, which resulted in the pulling out of whatever was left behind in my fridge, making myself a Beef aglio olio with left behind beef steak and spaghetti, one egg, a bunch of freshly chopped garlic and one red chilli.

I used my fingers to clear the chilli of its chilli seeds and then accidentally scratch my right eye and my left nostril causing the affected area to HUM in chilliness as though a nuclear reaction just took place, slowly but painfully, its heat radiated, covering a wider circumference with every second. (after publishing this article, I went to the toilet to take my contacts out. AHHHhhhhh~!!!! @#$#$!#!@#@#!@# MY EYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

And then took my first bite only to realise I forgot the parsely and salt, and I overcooked the garlic.

And then I played "Best I ever had" on the guitar, trying to practice what Dayvid taught me but kept missing the base note for the G key.

Listened to Eason's Cd on my new stereo which has had me falling asleep and waking up to music for the past two days.

This morning, I woke up to Jim belting out ... "我愿意拭目以待去等待每份色彩。。。"

And then I sat down in front of my com and thought about how amazing tonight has been in a simple and enduring way, and how bland but delicious my spaghetti tasted, how Monday is going to be the beginning of an extremely busy month ahead for me, how the guitar is still a lady hiding behind a veiled curtain to me, how I want to make my spaghetti so ultimate I can open a cafe and cook it for patrons, how this Month is going to be a good month where I have no time to waste money, how I can unveil that curtain and make the guitar a good friend of mine....

How, you may be wondering where in the world I'm going with this post.

Tonight is the same as always...

And yet, SPECIAL.
