And so there were 4, who roamed the streets of Kaoshiun, Taichung and Kending together.
And then there were 3, who roamed the streets of Taipei.
And now, here at the Taoyuan international Airport.
There is but one left, one Masked-keteer.
5 hours to kill before flight SQ...
Loads of duty free shops and branded Tai Tai shops,
but no nice cafe to chillax at.
I am, the Masked-keteer.
I sneezed at the check in area, and immediately felt like I was Alien.
I don't think I've seen such a wide array of masks before. All shapes, all sizes, all colours.
I joined in. So the last musketeer in Taiwan is now a masked-keteer!
I can't wait to get home, its been a unbelievably long holiday. In Lin hui's words, it felt as though we lived two days in one. We really stretched our time here.
It was lovely. I think the happiest, is knowing that mono really enjoyed this holiday. =)
So I'm broke, lonely, and alien but I'm happy and contented and blessed to have been given this chance to travel yet again to Taiwan.
The film festival was not as amazing as i expected it to be, but i still made friends and opened my eyes to yet again another world out there and was extremely inspired by a talk by a Taiwanese director.
Having no dream, is better than having a dream and not doing anything to work towards fulfiling it.
Its better to be contented having nothing then to be discontended wanting everything but not getting to it.
In fact, I'm so blessed and so contented to have made it onto the plane on the 23rd, to have been able to successfully set foot yet again on this fertile(SUPER) peice of land.
Oh yes, and thank you my fellow musketeers. *fist knock*
So, its circle line again tomorrow! What comes around goes around!

Taiwan-ed
Yes, i do realise how ridiculous this seems. Posting pictures from the last taiwan trip when I am already leaving for taiwan yet again in another 7 hours. Silly? I beg to differ.
My blog is more than just a place for incoherent thoughts and incessant rambling.
It is a void that i fill with my innermost nonsense and emotions.
And it is also a good tracker of my life. It could probably be the most accurate tracker of my life's happenings in proper chronological order, AS LONG AS i blog the events in chronological order. Which is precisely what I am trying to do now. Blog a picture post with pictures from previous taiwan trip before I head for the new taiwan trip and come back with even MORE pictures and memories which I DO NOT want to mess up with the previous ones.
Hence the title. Taiwan-ed.

ICONIC 露西
I have to say, it freaked me out a bit as i clicked on "New Post".
To Girl: I didn't. But I apologise and take responsibility for the consequences of that post. A smart-alec post that was. Stupid-alec is me. I just wanted to give these people the credit they were never given. I apologise.
To SY: Thank you so much. I won't let it drown myself in self-pity or self-punishment.
I think from this episode, I have grown to like DYT alot more, see him as a much bigger and better man, and myself as small and immature, not knowing the effect that doubts and whispers amongst human beings could cause.
I think also, that it is time to move on!
Like what someone told me,
"it came and is over! Now aunty lucy's on the papers!"
Which is something to rejoice about!
I'm sure all of you who have watched Paris & Milan cannot erase the hilarious image of Aunty Lucy flapping her hands pretending to be all shy and soft-spoken until finally going on non-stop in front of the camera pepparing sentences with her now CLASSIC head twist.
Its brilliant.
And if you've been following the show, there have been so many other characters inside which Pat Mok, Chong Qing and Yi Da Li have really breathed souls and heart into.
Absolutely amazing.
When I was having trouble giving my musical character Poh Choo an identity... it was Chong Qing who shared with me on how it is important to think through carefully and give your character a personality that is both unique and indvidual. It could be a simple 口头禅 or it could be a small characteristic movement, it could even be the way you laughed or the way you ended or began your sentences.
Aunty Lucy didn't come out of only pure brilliance and talent. It came out of a lot of hardwork, a lot of initiative, a lot of thought.
I really respect Chong Qing for this character.
Its a silly character some may say. I even saw someone leaving a comment on Paul's blog that the show is LC and slapstick and even said this "Paul: Many classic came from cross-dressing dear..."
Well, "dear"... these character don't come from just cross-dressing. If simply throwing a skirt and some make-up over a man is enough, why don't you try audition for the same role(especially if you're male).
Why is it so easy to undermine the efforts of others? ?
To be a wet blanket? ?
To scoff and say "So easy, I also can."
It doesn't take alot to recognise the effort placed in bringing such a character on screen to brighten up your day!
It simply doesn't take much effort or even a third-eye to see the effort and the good in people or the things that they do.
Its whether you want to.
I want to.
Cause, AUNTY LUCY ROCKS!!!!

娘，惹，麻烦。
现在人在不那么遥远的JB，
但也因为今早半梦半醒的状态中做了一个访问而一直觉得心里有点不安。
昨晚6am才睡，9点多来了两通电话，本来不想接，
但 caller 好像很急的样子，连续打了两通。
接了电话，得知是关于我在blog 上面所发表的一篇一点都不像文章的文章，
才察觉这次可能闯祸了。
人在不那么遥远的JB，
竟然看到在这里的报纸里有一篇
“陈迪雅暗暴” 的 report.
huh? 暗暴？
我没有暗地里想做什么。
aiyo.
在这里我想说的是,
我没别的意思。
只是身为歌手的我们，无法承受被指 lip-synch 而有感而发地谢了一篇还满无聊的post.
我很享受这次的演出经验，也很庆幸能够认识那么多新朋友。
尤其是 郭舒贤 和 戴阳天。
因为standby 的地方一样，所以很多时间聊天，玩一些无聊的游戏。
我不想因为一个报道而照成任何误会，
jeapordise any bit of friendship we build up over this period.
很珍惜.
讲真的，我今天真的是担心了一整天。
虽然心里有些焦急，但也觉得自己问心无愧。
也相信，被牵连的新朋友都会理解我没有想伤害他人名誉的动机。
yeah.
yeah.
yeah.
但今天因为发生这件事也收到manager传来的温馨SMS.
用字方面也都很讲究，很努力。
我想，如果我没有blog 就会好像失去了一个好朋友一样吧。
可能会把 blog 移到 wordpress 还是类似能给我比较大私人空间的部落格。
像宥嘉那样，where some posts are sealed. More privacy la. =)

but i don't think I'll take it as a chore... I actually like this responsibility. I especially enjoy when people share with me their side of the story, or like when nony drops me an enlightening quote. I always read and reflect. I don't always reply. Cause sometimes i just don't have anything intelligent to say in reply... but I read and I think about it.
So anyway, thank you all for your reading this little blog of mine all this while.

Do drop by and take a spin around with the newly opened circle line... its going to be a mad rush for me. My performance ends at 11.50am and I have a flight to Taiwan at 12.30pm! So once I end the song, I'll hop onto the speeding car and speed my way to the airport!

Its such a sad irony that the Taiwan artiste 如花's name means "like flower"..

I seriously look like ... 如花.

I wasn't the only one tickled.
Ann was having the most fun, only because she didn't have makeup on！
I know we look kinda ghastly in these pictures(specially me)
but this the kind of make-up people in theatre have to do to make sure our facial features are still visible under the bright theatre lights!
I think the make-up might be less ghastly on Sat itself since this was only a tryout.
But still, prepare yourselves, especially those who are going to meet the cast after the performance... bring your medication, puff, whatever.
Mother's Day just passed, had a simple dinner with the family after
the performance at Junction 8, and I took a picture of my mum which I really like.
My mum's usually really stern and not so 擅长 with smiling for the camera,
So i love this candid shot of her and how it has my
Dad looking over at her in the background.

We're only 5 days away from the real thing. And we're having off-days on Wed and Thurs. Which means effectively we only have 3 days left of rehersals and get-together-time.
Everything was so rushed, I feel I'm only just beginning to know the rest, and it seems everything is ending already!

But he Hamchi, he didn't turn up for rehersals,
and went for Michelle and Shaun's wedding instead.

Mother's Day
How are you celebrating Mother's day?
Such occasions in my family are always spent with MORE family.
Haha, which means, the more mothers... the MERRIER.
Its funny, everytime we have celebrations like this, the mothers always sit together chat and mingle while the rest of us find entertainment with playstations, wii, and what nots.
Its a day to celebrate noble motherhood, celebrate the love these women have given to the family, celebrate the sacrifices a mother has made for her children.
But in situations like this, on a day meant to celebrate motherhood, mothers always end up celebrating kinship instead. The topics never stray far from "My kid is now doing this and that..." "He/She's is actually a really good kid... a bit lazy but very caring and dependable..."
And that's precisely what makes Mothers so irreplacable.
Their love transcends all boundaries.
Its never about themselves, whatever they do, they do it with us in mind.
My mum has been my most honest/harsh/worse critic ever, she's the one who goes against all my dreams of becoming a singer.
But she is also the one, who sat by the fax machine all by herself, dialling in the numbers continually for 3 hours.
She is the one, who begs me to give up pursuing this dream, but puts a bowl of soup on the table for me when I come back from a performance.
She is the one, who cuts up newspaper reports of me and keeps them in the drawer.
She is the one, who chides, shakes her head, laughs, and smiles when she sees me on television.
She is the one who will stand by me through it all.
She is my beloved mother.
The one I fear, the one I love, the one I respect, the one I want to please, the one I want to do proud for.
Happy Mother's day mummy.
Happy Mother's day also to my dearest Ee for being my best friend all these years...

Dreams－keeping them fresh and alive.
还记得六年前的我们，少了害羞，少了顾虑。
无忧无虑的，述说着自己的梦想，谈论着那时对音乐的热爱，对音乐的想法。
叹息着新加坡少了的音乐文化。
如果新加坡有自己新加坡版的“娱乐新闻” ，那该多好。
不知不觉，我们也都逐渐成长，也慢慢的一步一步的往目标前进。
庆幸有你们，不然我可能已把自己的梦给淡忘了，放弃了。
这是”梦想成真”的例子。
努力了三年，坚持着对音乐的热诚于尊重。
我很为他们感到骄傲，
他们是我在《绝对superstar》的时候，不知该常什么歌的时候常联络的对象。
不知到我的专集何时才有上Freshmusic 的及格...
但...那也很可怕。
因为他们....
好诚实啊。

Fun Labour Day
I had so much fun.
I would have had more fun, had I not been an insomniac the previous night and got out of bed for the zone 3 Amazing Race at Sentosa. Sigh.
But photo shoot with the Kinky 6 was so so so memorable. We had so much fun and it felt so good to seal our 4 years of school and 14 days of Nippon in our graduation robes, ridiculous head gear with the help of a free studio photo shoot.
Our memories, our happy get togethers, sealed in the four corners of photos.
So much for FREE studio shoot. In the end, we loved ALL the pictures so much, we ended up paying $18 per extra 4R photo that we wanted. The amount came up to about 200 buckaroos... but these pictures are priceless. So it was all worth it.
I love the photos... here are some that I managed to secretly snap while choosing the photos to purchase!
After which, it was rehersals with the Nyonya Gang again... but the photos are too Tak glam to post. Maybe in the next post, I''ll post up some nicer pictures.
Today's rehersal had me laughing so hard! I don't know why, things are starting to really take shape now that we've gotten down to doing scene work. I'm beginning to find it easier to get into character, and we're all having so much fun right now!

Honestly, right at the very beginning, I was very apprehensive about how this musical would be. But right now, as the pieces are coming together, I really think its going to pretty worth your money! Come join us in song and dance and with good spirits...! It's going to be a night of celebration and just plain fun FUn FUN!!
Please come because the lovely ensemble and cast have been putting in loads of effort above their already busy schedules... its a simple plot with simple fun characters. I promise you, we'll be entertaining. =P
And just so you're convinced we're a bunch of ku koo's...
Well, till the next post! Its really time for me to hit the sack!
