Painkiller

My left face feels fat, puffy and heavy.

Arghhh, its not the thousand needle kind of pain, or the excruciating kind of pain, its the kind of pain you get from running 10 kilometres when you haven't had a run in 10 years, and now you're suffering from some kind of muscle ache/pain coupled with a few bruises here and there.

And I've been getting ulcers, on my gums.

It really hurts right now, and I do hope it goes away soon.

Really need to control my food intake.

I love fried stuff TOO MUCH. stop.

Sleep on it. Go away ulcers and the pain on the left side of me *ahchoo!* OUCH.

I need antibiotics, I need Captain Lu's new album. Oh yeah.

Conflicted bunch

we look for signs, but only those that go in line with OUR dreams and OUR desires.

If the sign points in the other direction. even if its right in our faces, we ignore it.

We're such a discontented bunch. Singapore wasn't made from nothing. It came a long way, and yet, we always still think the grass is greener on the other side.

Maybe if we start looking and appreciating the things close to us, close to our hearts, God will open up our horizons, in his own way.

The problem is, we think we know what we want, and what we're meant for, but the truth is, you only truly see and feel when you stop looking through the world's eyes.

Can we ever not be made for the life we're living?

A tiny being living on a planet in this vast universe to which a definite sovereign power has created and watches over every second of our lives.

Are we saying, he made a mistake?

He placed each and everyone of us someplace, somewhere for some kind of purpose we might never understand. But as we push on, pursuing our dreams our goals, our happiness, let us not forget for one moment, that as much as we may never understand, we were made individuals in our individual circumstances, that were in no means a coincidence.

Learning to appreciate and love, starting from the little things.

Iknow what you're thinking....

I've really been grappling with the idea of how I should be as a brand ambassador or the artiste endorser of a product. First there was sony, and then there was a pimple cream.

I count my blessings. =)

People judge and think that artistes are rich because of all these, but really, we only put ourselves through this because it gives us fuel and the power to keep walking this path, to keep making music.

Because it takes moolah to make an album, it takes moolah to make things move and get going. And yes, believe it or not, 99 percent of the time, it takes moolah to make good music.

So I'm really thankful for the trust, and the support that I've been rendered as a struggling singer in this aspect, from my company and from the recent collaboration with IKnow ....

Iknow, not pronounced as "eek-now" but rather as "I Know" is like the wide umbrella parent company of the electronic dictionary many of us have used in our schooling days! Well, I did. I had a chinese dictionary called Besta and other than using it to help me with my lousy chinese, I also used it constantly for the Reversi game it had on it.

I'm not a good example lar, so don't learn from me. I always pretend to be checking out chinese words on the dictionary, but really I'm just fighting it out with the machine on a game of Reversi.

Shit, I digressed. Anyway, Iknow offers not just the renowned Besta dictionaries but like the new recent addition to the family, mini HD camcorders called AIPTEK.

And that, my dear dear friends is what Carrie and I will be endorsing. =)

Am honestly honestly ever so thankful to the people who made this happen, and also thankful that this seems to be an exciting project.

Where we're not simply 'dummy artistes' or 'puppets' where we get brand images forced fed on us, or forced to do things we dislike, or end up in poses we're not comfortable in, or basically end up doing anything that has NOTHING to do with ME but EVERYTHING to so with the "IDEAL DIYA" or "IDEAL CARRIE" which the client SPECIFICALLY wants to project to the mass audience.

For once, somebody tried to understand us.

For once, somebody wanted to work with us because of the person we are and not because of how popular we are.

For once, I feel, there's a heart working on this, and not just plain business ideas, profit logics and practicality.

For once, someone believed in our potential and not our past.

Its a HD video Cam.

I'm a mass comm student.

I take videos.

With subtle messages, and little bits of my life here and there.

You watch.

You laugh with us.

You cry with us.

And I hope you take home something more than just a few laughs, but perhaps strength to go on in your lives? And also giving me one more person to share my precious memories with.

We already did one Video, with the help of dearest Queen-of-editing Shunz, but the version on youtube now is not in a format I am happy with. The video was filmed in 16:9 but on youtube is 4:3 which makes me look thinner than I really am(I should be happy.) but its not a good reflection of what you get from the video.

Erm, but about 400 of you have seen it already apparently.

I'll try to get that fixed then post it up here.

I'm not too much of a techie person, but I'll try to give you guys any information you ask as long as I have the answer for it. Otherwise, still ask me anyway, and I'll take it as a chance to learn more of what I really should have learnt in my 4 years in mass comm but didn't.

As always, I have Shunz or Peeks to enlighten me on this. So my life rocks. Really.

and I know this may seem as though I'm deviating from the CORRECT product,
since the next one I'm going to show you is not the one i'm using but I was
web surfing about the product and ended up in its US site and this is what I saw!
its SO TINY!!!!!!! Its a bird... its a chocolate bar... no! its a PenCAM!!!!

its crazy small!!! PenCAM!
and its specs are actually pretty good for such a small guy. awesome.

But I think we need to audition the people who buy this product,
must make sure you don't sell it to perverts or peeping toms.

I'm contemplating getting an Imac.
For video and audio editing... Any violent objections? or any sponsors?
