Ah yee drew this for my birthday~! Woopee~! She told me to visit her blog on the 21st of Oct(which is my actual birthday) but i couldn't withstand the suspense!!! ITs really really nice... gosh. I feel so blessed. You draw really cute stuff... the colours are really vibrant and cute!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!! NICE NICE NICE NICE~!! (and then there's Lee Jiaqi.. who draws protraits really really nicely too.) Maybe you could send me the picture one day? Post it over? I'd love to keep it... =)

Today i had a birthday celebration with my beloved 95.8fm boss(who has the exact same birthday as me. What a coincidence right?)... guess where we had our mini party?

MACDONALDS!!!!! For those who came for my fan club gathering... you would know how a mac's party is. Hahaha... It was hilarious! And well, being my boss she's kinda like older than me right? So it was an even cuter sight! Everyone was in part hats and looking really silly... and then we played games AND danced the chicken dance.

We were wholesome family entertainment for everyone else in the restaurant man! There were uncles and aunties standing outside the glass window looking in on us playing and then school kids sitting atop a restaurant bench that's perched just outside the glass window of the birthday room, watching a bunch of SUPER overgrown kids throwing plastic cups at each other while munching on happy meals. Hahahaha... Sigh. Birthday's are really priceless... aiya. if only one year didn't last 12 months. Then my next birthday will come so soon!! Haha..

Celebrated with my family last week already because my dad's overseas this week.. tasked my dear cousin to blog about it because all the pictures were taken on his camera. (Even though his mother is always telling me not to be so lorsoh on my blog and put my pictures...hmph)

My busy week of concerts will finally be coming to an end on my birthday. *beams* which is free from events! Which means i can go to church! Which means i have all the time to myself on that day... I hope time passes slowly on the 21st so i can savour it second by second. Heh...

But before that! TOmorrow's the last conert of the week... its the nanyang constituency concert! SOme of you have asked me where to get tickets... i'm not too sure myself, but i'm pretty you'll be able to get tickets at the door... Both me and daren will do three songs each... =) i'll be singing a duet with an MP too! Haha... i have an affinity with MPs. This is the second time i'm singing with an MP... maybe next time, I'll dabble in politics instead of the entertainment industry. hahaha.. no i'm just kidding la.

Current situation:
Uber tired from lack of sleep, lack of proper sleep, lack of proper meals and lack of slack. Just came back from the suntec's HD 5 lift off event. Was not feeling well from the very moment i woke up... think it was the late night supper or prata i had yesterday. Had diarrhea in the morning and when i was on the way to the event, i suddenly started feeling pukish.

SO sorry if i put up a lack-lustre performance just now, but i'll be better tomorrow. =) All i need now, is a well deserved, long overdue power nap. Which i will enjoy when i'm finished with this post. Heh heh!

Anyhow! the Ikea trip is so outdated already!!!! So outdated that i've already forgotten what exactly i wanted to blog about...

A Quick update...

Battling sleepiness now while i'm in school doing some last minute mugging for my mid term tomorrow. Got slapped real hard on the shoulder for taking a nap by my all time favourite nanny Quek Huimin. That woke me up. Heh...

But the content in the notes are still not settling in with me. They look like Greek.

Two more chapters to go...and that's only my first read through. I'm taking a mid term that will result in 40% of my final mark so i suppose i will need at least another thorough read through... so that's (counts mentally with fingers..) 11 more chapters.

Haha.. so screwed. Hai. And its already a make up test, which means i'm taking this later than the rest of my cohort because of my previous commitments. Jia You diya.

Its going to be a great weekend ahead though... will be at suntec on both sat and sun, will be there somewhere between the time slots of 1-3pm. Wanted to learn a few new songs to perform... but due to the lack of time and the fact that they need the songs asap and my manager wants to burn it into a cd, i could only choose from the songs i've sung before.

Sigh.

Alritey! Gotta head off to help CY with a demo recording now... and then head down to town for FYP meeting and hopefully have anough energy to finish up my remaining 11 chapters of GREEK!!!!

EEEeeeeeek!!!!!!! busy busy busy...

Last Saturday might be the most memorable day in months to come.

First, I spent the entire part of the day with Daren in Bugis and Orchard trying to promote our BO Lo Buns! It was so hard because all we know how to do is to sing and eat!!!! But for this show... we had to shed a bit of that and dabble in some hosting as well. It was really really hard but i enjoyed ever second of the experience because we learnt alot from the producer Cassandra who was really patient and taught us along the way.

Haha, it was so embarrassing because all along the way i had to keep doing this stupid "bobo dance" while reciting this 口号。

In case you peeps don't know yet! Daren and I will be selling BO Lo buns at East Coast Park on the 28th(Sun) of OCt and 3rd(Sat) of Nov. We'll be selling the hot buns at a hong kong cafe that is just beside macdonalds...

ITs 5 dollar for a set meal that consists of two buns, one milk tea and a mango pudding!

Cheap Right?!?!?!

hard right? I had to recite that over and over again while stupid daren clapped along. But eventually i took revenge on him and forced him to do the dance and the 口号 as well. So you guys have to stay tuned... its hilarious!

and then something really drama happened at night. But i'm not going to blog about it now because something unpleasant just happened... and i'm not in the best of moods. Will blog about it when i have time ya.

A quick release

I've been keeping a blog for more than three years now... and i've been faithfully writing(although you all probably don't see the first 3 years of my blog posts because well, its kinda like my private diary that i take out to laugh at once in a while now.)

I think i write so much because in the journey of life, you always have your ups and downs, your highs and lows and your failures and successes.

Weirdly, I think i mostly write when i'm down and out.

Pretend this is my diary post where i hold back very little and don't expect to be judged nor sympathised... just as a release. Allow me.

" I'm down(but not out) today. I think i screwed up a performance. By losing my cool.
I didn't do terribly, but i guess what a close friend said is so true. It wasn't a terrible performance but as the female and male champs of Superstar, we could and should have done alot better.

Well, i think this applies more in my case because i made silly unforgivable mistakes. Like forgetting my lyrics, and totally forgetting to come in.

What came over me?

I wasn't well prepared, but neither was i ill-prepared.

I practiced, I worried about make up about hair about everything. I'm putting in the effort in every appearance i get, heeding the advice of my manager and what not. BUt after all this, I screw up in my performance.
THE ONE THING I'M SUPPOSED TO BE CONFIDENT OF.

Crap.

I took one look at the judges and i lost it. I wanted to impress but i went lost it.
They're not called judges for nothing. They judge.

Daren said : we're no long in the competition, so there's nothing to be afraid of.
But the little girl in me still felt fear, and dang... that's when the errors started coming.

AIYO!!!!!! HOW CAN!!!!!!!

And to do badly in the one thing you've sacrificed and given up so much for, the one thing you love and enjoy doing, the one thing you've earned a title in that makes your family members watch your every step in elation and fear just makes me feel all the more unworthy and so completely doofus-y.

I'm a doofus.

But the doofus here feels better already. "
