Full Basket of Fish
It really is true that God won't give you anymore than you can/deserve to take or handle.
The variables were amounting to quite a bit today, and as more ideas came in, and more decisions had to be made, mini bombshells were dropped upon us, and although we had nowhere and not many people to turn to, we had each other to turn to, and that, is the best part of being in a group.
It was really discouraging, to feel that we are all in one boiling pot and the people who can best understand our situations are also the ones who choose to turn a blind eye.
We are like the poor robbing the poor.
Its a cycle that continues and gets worse unless consumers start to take on a little bit of responsibility.
Its like the indie cafe that everyone raves about because unlike other cafes that are out to earn your money, this cafe serves with one purpose in mind, to propagate the indie attitude, the attitude of living, of giving.
But then fako "I am oh so indie" people start flooding the cafe, sit down with a cuppa in their hands that cost $4 for the ENTIRE day and then walk off still harbouring egoistic "I am indie, I am a rebel, I am different, I live for my art" thoughts.
But you don't realise, you just selfishly propagated your own indie thoughts without doing anything concrete for the indie movement.
And because this little indie cafe can no longer count on the selfish 'indie' crowd to sustain the increasing rent and surmounting bills. This cafe has to close down.
And then these 'indie' people start to lament the loss of this dear little cafe and how they are so sad about its loss and what a waste it is that 'indie' people like them no longer have indie cafes to go to.
seriously.
WHAT?
Similarly, "I love music."
BULLSH*T.
Talk is cheap.
You love music but you won't pay for it. One day, all the music in the world will sound the same and you'll lament the demise of this industry and put the blame on everyone but yourself.
Go and sell some fish I say.
I'm telling you, I won't buy your fish ok.
Bah.
