Just
How often do you use the word 'just' in your lives?
Did you just use it?
Why did you use it?
I just felt like using it.
'just' can mean a moment ago. 'just' can also mean nevertheless,
without too much reason, simply... justifiable without argument.
When a mother catches her little boy stealing money from the drawer,
she asks "why did you do that?"
the little boy replies... "I just wanted to buy something."
Does it mean that it was a moment ago when he had the urge to steal, but now he doesn't and knows its wrong. Or does it mean that he meant to steal the money for a very logical purpose -- to buy something. And that, THAT being THAT by itself, doesn't require anymore reasoning or explanation.
I just had to take it.
I just had to get out of the house.
I just wanted some space.
I just needed to get those pair of shoes.
Just do it.
Things just changed.
There's no fighting that.
But at the same time, you feel helpless being defeated by one word.
You don't trust the usage of the word, you believe there's more to that.
And most usually, there is. Because we as humans, can never really be sure...
Maybe some people call that hope.
that's why the mother asks again "But why did you take the money from the drawer?"
and the boy replies again, this time with tears and a slight impatient tone in his voice...
"I JUST wanted to buy something!"
And the cycle continues.
:) Its a merry-go-round.
JUST maybe not so merry all the round.
I just wanted to say this. And by just, I mean I don't want to take responsibility for any consequence that might be birthed out of me saying all this and I don't have an articulate reason I can verbalise for the purpose of saying all this.
I just had to.
Confused yet?
Damn, the merry-go-round is in my head.
I just(a moment ago) realised that.
