Weak, so weak!
I'm at work early this morning... because i was awaken this morning by a bad sore throat. Its not the hoarse, infected kind of sore throat, its the kind that hurts when you swallow... feels as though that little fella hanging at the back of your throat went out clubbing the night before, and got beaten up.
Lots of people getting sick it seems... last week my office was down with the flu...and i've got emails from some of you telling me you're sick too!
I do hope this isn't some kind of an epidemic... do take care of yourselves peeps. ANd if there's one thing I've learnt... is that the act of taking care of your own body is a daily and constant requirement.
I've been getting quite little sleep because of late nights out but when i finally got a good 7 hours of sleep yesterday night, it was already too late. I still woke up with a bad throat.

A whole lot of work deadlines this week. People in my office are piled....worried about ticket sales for an upcoming crosstalk performance. So i'll elaborate a bit on it here... do help to advertise to your friends about it if you can.
"A night of Maji" is a performance organised to commemorate the 100th day anniversary of the death of a great crosstalk teacher, Maji. To tell you the truth, I've heard of him, but i've never heard of him. By that, i mean that the name rings a bell... but i've never actually heard him performing... but because i have to do trailers on this performance, and create a video on him, i've had the chance to listen and watch a bit of his performances.
I'm surpirsed! I actually enjoyed it very very much. I come from Nanyang Girls' where there are quite alot of students who come from China to come singapore to study. And somehow, they're always into crosstalk and always performing crosstalk in schoool.... back then, somehow we didn't know how to appreciate it. The coolest CCA's in school were probably the sports CCA's... and theatre club(i like to believe its so. because i was from there. haha)
CHinese society... cross talk.... stuff like that people didn't seem to care.
And i think it was only because we told ourselves that it would be uncool to appreciate something like that, that made us under-appreciate the whole art and performance of crosstalk. At least i think that's the case for me.
Just the other day, carrie said that art is dying in this world. When we say art... it encompasses many things, even wannabe singers like us because to me, music is a form of art. SHe said its because nowadays... TIME is the essence. People don't spend time to appreciate art anymore... things move so quickly. They have to move their butts and hurry earn money before its too late.
Which is so true but so sad.
This is not advertorial... haha, but that said, let me just give you the details for this performance. I trust it'll be a night that will open up your eyes to something different, something the chinese culture here in singapore has been lacking in and something which i believe, no matter how much or how hard they try... will slowly die out. Sigh........................................
